#YourRole
We are expanding our Value Creation Services practice and looking for a data-driven analytical professional to join our Performance Improvement and Operations team. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role where you will work directly alongside senior advisors on engagements with PE-backed businesses and large organisations across key sectors including manufacturing, F&B, agribusiness, retail, utilities, and beyond.
Our VCS team supports private equity backed businesses and corporates who want to take an accelerated lens to performance improvement - delivering measurable improvements to their cash and EBITDA position. We have a pragmatic approach, helping businesses overcome operational and financial challenges by providing evidence-based insight that supports management to drive sustainable change.
As a Data & Analytics Consultant/Senior Consultant , you will be the analytical engine behind our diagnostic work. You will connect directly to client operational and financial systems, extract and process raw transactional data, and produce the structured outputs and dashboards that allow our senior team to identify improvement opportunities and present findings to clients and stakeholders. Your work turns complex, messy data into clear, actionable insight - and is central to the value we deliver on every engagement.
In a continuously evolving business environment where organisations need to make smart, quick and well-informed decisions based on quality analysis, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Private Equity and corporate clients - bringing precision and analytical depth to the decisions that drive real operational and financial value.
Key responsibilities:
• Connect to client data sources: Access operational and financial systems - ERP platforms, accounting software, and related databases - and extract transactional data relevant to the engagement, including sales records, purchase invoices, inventory movements, and cost transactions.
• Prepare and clean data: Transform raw, frequently messy client data into structured, analysis-ready datasets. Identify and resolve duplicate records, inconsistent coding, and missing fields. Document assumptions and data limitations clearly.
• Develop and run SQL queries: Write and troubleshoot SQL queries to extract and combine data across multiple tables and sources. Resolve discrepancies between query outputs and client-reported figures.
• Automate data processing workflows: Develop and maintain Python scripts (Pandas, NumPy) to automate data cleaning, transformation, and processing workflows. Build reusable scripts that can be adapted efficiently across different client data environments.
• Build analytical outputs and dashboards: Design and build PowerBI dashboards and structured analytical summaries from end to end. Outputs are built from scratch for each engagement based on the specific client data and scope.
• Structure findings clearly: Organise analytical outputs in a logical, presentation-ready format that allows the senior team to interpret and communicate results effectively to clients.
• Build analytical frameworks: Help build reusable analytical tools, processing templates, and standardised workflows that improve quality and efficiency across engagements.
• Manage multiple workstreams: Handle analytical tasks across concurrent client engagements, maintaining accuracy and meeting tight diagnostic timelines.
