Our VCS team supports Private Equity backed businesses and corporates who want to take an accelerated lens to performance improvement in delivering improvements to their cash & EBITDA position. We have a pragmatic approach helping businesses overcome challenges by supporting management (and owners, where appropriate) to drive sustainable operational change.

This could include drafting growth and improvement initiatives that translate into various types of business plans (strategic plan, turnaround plan, synergy case, integration plan, business split) in which we assess upsides and risks from an independent perspective.

This is an opportunity to leverage your performance improvement and turnaround experience in a stimulating new environment. Our VCS practice is experiencing rapid growth and we now have multiple opportunities across the team to recruit high caliber delivery individuals with advanced business and financial modelling skills .

In a continuously evolving business environment where organisations need to make smart, quick and well-informed decisions based on quality analysis, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Private Equity and corporate clients in solving complex business problems and providing key insights into business drivers and scenario analysis presented elegantly to enhance stakeholder presentation.

As an Assistant Manager you will demonstrate and develop the ability to:

• Develop complex financial models where key output is the integrated financial statements to support the development of business forecasts, strategic business planning, options analysis, working capital and cash flow plans, carve outs and cost reduction programmes.
• Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis based on microeconomic and macroeconomic factors to assess business risks.
• Ensure the accuracy of the new models while enhancing the quality of the existing models.
• Assisting clients in assessing the value creation potential within their business, and developing action plans to deliver against performance improvement initiatives
• Working hands-on with management teams to get buy-in across the business and implement agreed initiatives within an accelerated timeframe to maximise value
• elaborating a sound and meaningful story line based on the analyses carried out by the team
• participating in interviews with industry experts, competitors, suppliers, customers, and management to gain deep insights into these areas
• Working with colleagues from Financial Advisory, Consulting and the broader Deloitte network, the team provide our clients with a coherent overview of the business operations, performance gaps and the potential for rapid improvement
• Seeks challenges, and opportunities to build on own and teams’ strengths, develop new capabilities, and learn from and share with others
• Operates as a brand ambassador to uphold Deloitte’s value proposition of high-quality and professionalism

#WinningRequirements

• Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Engineering or other related disciplines
• MBA or Master’s Degree in any of the above fields
• ACA / ACCA/ CFA qualification (or equivalent) will be considered advantage.
• 4 years’ experience in financial modelling, exposure on delivering an operational turnaround at an accelerated pace and performance improvements.
• Very strong analytical skills and problem solving mindset are essential
• Strong experience in Excel and/or other BI tools (e.g Tableau, PowerBI etc…) is mandatory
• Knowledge of Basic Accounting Concepts and Understanding of the accounting principles are essential
• Ability to Build a Model that is Easy to Understand
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & Greek languages.
• Willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment.
• Military obligations fulfilled where applicable

• Business Advisory: new service aimed to enlarge the FA offering through the integration of financial and business dimensions
