Your role as a Sustainability Assistant Manager / Manager in our Assurance team will focus on the delivery of client engagements in relation to sustainability projects with a particular emphasis on projects related to EU Taxonomy implementation and reporting. You will play a crucial part in advising clients on the intricacies of the EU Taxonomy Regulation, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, and driving sustainability transformation projects.  Your focus will be in understanding both client objectives and Deloitte’s goals, while aligning your work with these priorities, teaming with others across businesses and borders and taking accountability for your own and the team’s results. In this role, you will develop your leadership skills and your technical skills, you will build relationships and exercise your communication skills in order to positively influence your peers and other stakeholders. You will commit to the department’s goals and to personal learning and development by actively seeking opportunities for growth, you will share knowledge and experience with others, and act as a strong brand ambassador, embracing our purpose and values in order to put these into practice in your professional life.

During your tenure as a Sustainability Assistant Manager / Manager, you will demonstrate and develop the ability to:

  • Provide specialized knowledge and guidance to Assurance department on EU Taxonomy and sustainability reporting
  • Advice clients on the implementation of EU Taxonomy reporting requirements and on the alignment with CSRD
  • Produce a high-quality work product and collaborate with your colleagues to deliver a superior client experience
  • Prepare and review technical documentation related to EU Taxonomy
  • Develop people through effectively delegation task and providing guidance
  • Understand how business functions operate and how sector trends impact a client’s business
  • Select appropriate methods for collecting and analyzing data and develop informed. recommendations that shape or support the client’s business strategy
  • Deliver key messages with clarity, confidence and poise to instill confidence in clients
  • Stay informed on sustainability trends and regulatory developments, applying a global and forward-thinking perspective to address client challenges at the intersection of sustainability, finance, and business strategy


#WinningRequirements

Specifically, candidates should possess the following attributes:

  • Minimum 4 – 6 years of relevant working experience (i.e., advisory/assurance/implementation of EU Taxonomy reporting requirements)
  • University degree in Accounting, Auditing, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or/and other environmental related areas
  • Master’s degree from top-tier universities in Environmental Management, Sustainability, Management or other relevant areas will be considered an asset
  • Very good knowledge of the EU Taxonomy regulation with a demonstrated ability to provide technical advice on alignment, eligibility, and regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of CSRD/ESRS, GRI Standards, and other sustainability frameworks/Standards will be considered an asset
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience in developing reports and recommendations based on sustainability frameworks
  • Proficient user of MS Office
  • Strong oral and written Greek & English language communication skills
  • Military obligations fulfilled for male candidates
