#AboutYourRole

A central role within the CIO Operations for the NSE ITS function, the PMO Manager will support the running and continual improvement of the NSE Enterprise Portfolio Management function.  The role will be supporting our three capability areas of Demand and Portfolio Management, Governance and Strategic and Portfolio Management reporting with a focus on supporting the efficient and effective management of the NSE Technical Design Authority (TDA).

Reporting to the NSE Head of Portfolio, this is an opportunity to contribute to the evolution and integration of the ITS function across NSE. 

The PMO role is central to the CIO Operations function and Technology teams across NSE in providing a coordinated approach to our NSE Portfolio.  Key responsibilities include:

• Establish and maintain the PMO's operational and Governance frameworks for supporting the Technical Design Authority
• Track and report on TDA activities and performance, including review cycle times, design decision outcomes, and adherence to standards
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between the Technical Design Authority and other stakeholders, including delivery teams, business analysts, and business relationship managers
• Assist with the development and analysis of TDA performance metrics
• Review demand submissions for completeness and adherence to standards before TDA review for both Demands planned annually, Business demands and unplanned demands
• Support the continual improvement of the NSE Portfolio that has oversight of Governance, assurance and overall tracking/reporting of our strategic programmes, projects and project delivery compliance across NSE
• Liaise with senior stakeholders, NSE Technology Demand Manager and NSE Portfolio Governance Manager to track, update and maintain the portfolio management information and compliance of agreed NSE Governance.
• Continuously improve PMO processes and tools to enhance TDA effectiveness and efficiency

#OurRequirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• A track record of successfully supporting and reporting on complex projects across multiple geographical and organizational boundaries
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, with attention to detail, that inspire confidence in the management information being presented to our NSE Leadership and Geography Leads
• Process-oriented mindset: Ability to develop, implement, and continuously improve processes to support the TDA's activities
• Well organized and able to respond to changing priorities
• Analytical and flexible with the ability to rapidly understand ambiguous and complex concepts
• Knowledge of relevant technologies and industry trends: Staying abreast of emerging technologies and best practices within the TDA's area of expertise
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies: Knowledge of Agile principles and practices can be valuable in supporting TDA activities within Agile projects.
• Demonstratable experience of process improvement to support collective ways of working across NSE
• PMO certifications (PRINCE2, PRINCE2 Agile, MSP, APM, SAFe)
