Deloitte expands its Assurance team, having great ambitions for the future and wanting you to be a part of our surging Accounting and Reporting Advisory practice in Greece.

Our Accounting and Reporting Advisory provides a variety of services responding to our clients’ needs, exploiting our experience and expertise. We provide Accounting and Reporting services in relation to complex accounting treatments under IFRS / US GAAP / Greek GAAP, implementation of new accounting standards (including system implementation in collaboration with IT teams) and GAAP conversions. We combine technical accounting knowledge and (ex) auditor’s capabilities to think outside of the box when developing accounting solutions to accommodate clients’ strategic goals, whilst ensuring GAAP compliance and audit readiness.

Your role as a Manager in our Accounting and Reporting Advisory team will focus on the provision of accounting advisory services to clients, applying high level technical expertise on relevant accounting standards.

In this role, you will develop your leadership skills and your technical skills; you will build relationships and exercise your communication skills to positively influence your peers and other stakeholders. You will commit to the department’s goals; you will share knowledge and experience with others, and act as a strong brand ambassador, embracing our purpose and values in order to put these into practice in your professional life.

During your tenure as a Manager, you will demonstrate and develop the ability to:

• Provide technical accounting advice and support to clients on complex accounting and reporting issues:
• Non-FI Subgroup: covering a wide spectrum of areas, such as consolidation and business combinations (including purchase price allocation exercises), revenue recognition, share-based payments, etc.
• FI Subgroup: with emphasis on Treasury Transactions (e.g. Debt vs Equity Classification, Hedge Accounting, Derivatives Valuation, ECL models etc.)
• Advice clients on the implementation of new accounting standards
• Support clients on conversions to IFRS/US GAAP
• Cooperate with other Deloitte service lines on multi-disciplinary projects (e.g., M&A transactions, IT implementations)
• Carry out and support business development activities to create new opportunities
• Produce high-quality work products and collaborate with your colleagues to deliver a superior client expertise
• Deliver key messages with clarity, confidence and poise to instill confidence in clients
• Develop people through effectively delegation tasks and providing guidance
• Apply a global and diverse perspective to problem solving

Specifically, candidates should possess the following attributes:

• Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience (i.e. Accounting Advisory or IFRS reporting, External Audit or related subject) in an audit or consulting firm
• University degree in Accounting & Finance, Business Administration and/or related subject
• Master’ degree from top-tier universities in Accounting & Finance or related subject will be considered an asset
• Relevant professional qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) in progress or completed
• Comprehensive working knowledge of IFRS
• Knowledge of US GAAP and Greek GAAP will be considered as an asset
• Commit to continuous learning and gaining exposure across multiple industries to broaden expertise.
• Proficient user of MS Office
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Greek and English
• Strong organizational skills with a focus on delivering high-quality work using appropriate tools and methodologies
• Keen on leveraging advanced analytics and BI tools to streamline and enhance day-to-day activities is considered as an asset
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Military obligations fulfilled, where applicable
