This is your opportunity to join Deloitte's market-leading M&A FSI Transaction Services team, in the firm’s Financial Advisory practice,  in Athens. You will benefit from working with one of the most experienced teams in the field advising financial institutions, investors and governments in the evaluation and monetisation of loan and financial asset portfolios as well as their M&A strategic initiatives in FSI sector. The sort of work that you will get involved in includes financial analysis, data analytics and cash flow modelling to support:

  • Strategic portfolio reviews
  • Strategic options analysis
  • Deleveraging plans
  • Pricing analysis
  • Portfolio sale and acquisition transactions
  • Bank restructuring
  • Due diligence

Your role as a Senior Consultant/Assistant Manager in PLAS will focus on the delivery of client engagements by exercising effective communication and relationship-building skills and contributing to the priorities of the team and the business by demonstrating personal accountability for own and team’s results . In this role, you will commit to personal learning and development, by actively seeking opportunities for growth, you will share knowledge and experience with others and act as a brand ambassador and grasp opportunities to make an impact by delivering exceptional client services.

You will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of transactions/projects where you will:

  • Manage own work against project plan to ensure a superior client experience
  • Collect, assimilate, and analyze relevant data and use standard processes and tools to help surface insights and solutions
  • Review and interpret analysis output
  • Use analytical skills to transform the data and analysis output into business insights and prepare presentations and reports for internal use and for clients’ needs
  • Comply with quality standards, risk rules, and confidentiality guidelines to deliver results
  • Adopt a disciplined approach to building financial models
  • Build own understanding of our purpose and values explores opportunities for impact
  • Analyze market trends, financial metrics, and regulatory/legal restrictions to assess impact to client’s portfolio and help evaluate different investment strategies

 

#WinningRequirements

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience preferably within an International professional services firm or Bank or Big4 environment
  • University Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related disciplines
  • Strong business diagnostic skills and the ability to apply a logical and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Methodical and logical mindset to problem solving, an effective approach to time management and the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong excel and power point skills
  • Analytical mindset and increased capability to transform data analytics into powerful insights
  • Be a strong team player
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Greek and English (Proficiency)
  • Availability to travel.
  • Military obligations fulfilled where applicable

Preferred skills:

  • Corporate finance or M&A transaction (financial due diligence) experience in the financial institutions sector (including portfolio transactions) will be considered a significant advantage.
  • Prior experience in securitization processes (incl. synthetic securitisations and HAAPs scheme), will be considered an asset
  • ACA / ACCA/ CFA qualification (or equivalent) or in process of qualification will be considered advantage.
  • VBA, ASL, SQL, Python, Access knowledge will be considered advantage

    • M&A Transaction Services: our team provides comprehensive, focused support to acquirers and vendors, assessing the strengths and weaknesses, value areas and risks of a transaction, helping our clients make informed decisions about their transactions

Valuation and Modelling: we provide well-reasoned valuations and advice understanding how to quantify and present valuation analyses and conclusions in concert with prevailing accounting, tax, and regulatory codes, for transaction, financing, litigation, strategic management, and compliance purposes
