Corporate Services and Tax Transaction Supervisor

We are currently seeking to grow our Tax Transaction team with a candidate who is in possession or in the final stages of obtaining an ACCA qualification or equivalent. Through this opportunity, you will build ongoing relationships with our multinational clients operating through Malta resident entities, while liaising with teams across the firm and abroad according to the clients’ needs. You would probably join as a Senior 3 or Supervisor, and look to progress to Assistant Manager within a short space of time.

How you will Make an Impact

As a member of the Transaction team, you are responsible for proactively assisting clients in their day-to-day client requests, supporting them as they set up their business locally, and being a point of contact for corporate, tax and accounting-related queries.

Your main tasks will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• proactively assist and overviewing in the day-to-day corporate services and tax compliance requests of a portfolio of clients;
• ensure that client deliverables and project deadlines are met;
• advise clients on issues relating to local tax laws, reporting requirements, statutory filings, corporate strategy, transfer pricing and indirect tax and other international taxation matters;
• liaise with directors, lawyers, accountants, auditors and other service providers on behalf of the corporate clients;
• assist multinational companies address their cross-border tax needs locally;
• overview the maintenance of company registers and preparation and submission of statutory filings as well as perform other statutory obligations as may be required;
• setting up and attending client board meetings;
• keep board minutes and attend to other corporate documents as may be required;
• review AML documentation and ensure compliance with local laws and internal requirements; and
• proactively build a relationship with clients as part of their trusted business adviser.

Your Specialized skills:

• Be in possession of a university degree in Finance or be in the process of obtaining ACCA;
• Have a minimum of two years work experience at a Corporate Service Provider;
• Be able to help develop and supervise more junior staff;
• Have a good command of written and spoken English;
• Be self-motivated and possess strong interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills.
