During your tenure as a Backend Engineer, you will demonstrate and develop your ability to:

·       Design, develop and implement complex applications using Java 11+ across a mixture of AWS Lambdas and Spring Boot microservice.

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design solutions that meet business needs.

·       Create tickets in Jira, elaborating new requirements coming in and helping the team to ensure design solution is followed.

·       Write high-quality, clean, and maintainable code that meets development standards.

·       Deploy production code and support the product in a DevOps model, including monitoring and alerting.

·       Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint retrospectives.

·       Create and maintain technical documentation and user manuals.

·       Design and develop robust, scalable, high performing, high-volume production applications with users across the globe.

·       Review and recommend improvements to existing system designs and engineering processes.

·       Develop and share reusable assets that can be readily applied to new projects.

Key Qualifications

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering / Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Master’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Engineering / Science would be considered a plus.
• of relevant working experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java (11+), Spring Boot microservice, and AWS Lambdas and CloudFormation.
• Experience with AWS components such as Lambda, DynamoDB, Elastic Cache, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, CloudFront, CloudWatch, IAM, EC2, S3.
• , Cucumber for integration tests, and Gatling for performance testing. Experience with Jenkins is considered a plus.
• Proficient in using Kibana and/or Grafana for visualization.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum Software Development Process. Kanban is also acceptable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to design data-based solutions that enable the client’s technology agenda and communicate market trends and potential impacts effectively to the client.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills in English.
