We are currently searching for Back End Developer, with specialty in Python and Django, in order to expand and strengthen our Strategy Risk & Transaction Advisory team in Thessaloniki. Our Professionals at Deloitte Alexander Competence Center (DACC) work with Deloitte Projects across North and South Europe, collaborate with top performing international teams and advise organizations on how to effectively mitigate risks and make informed and intelligent risk decisions to maximize opportunities. This includes helping them manage and prevent risks around their business processes, technology and operations, and often extends to the design and implementation of revised control frameworks and technology solutions. 

The people who will join us, can work in teams, have a detail-oriented mindset, analytical thinking skills, a drive for quality in technology and they will be able to understand and interpret business requirements - such that quality of the software is ensured via Testing. 

Your Responsibilities

We are seeking a Consultant - Back End Developer in Django and Python who is keen to work with the latest technologies.

You will be working on developing and improving new Web Applications. Your voice will help drive excellent outcomes for the business and our customers by providing your input on how to improve the code and the UI of the applications you will work on.

What you will do at Deloitte:

·       Develop and maintain Web Applications that meet specified business requirements

·       Work in a team of Front End developers, Back End developers, and Cloud Architects to build end-to-end applications to support dynamic business and product innovation

·       Research new technologies and identify opportunities where they can be used in our applications

·       Actively contribute to the products and see your ideas turn to reality

•     Develop for maximum performance, compatibility and an excellent user experience across devices

Our ideal candidate must have the following qualifications:

·       Education

o   Academic background (BSc and MSc) related to Information Technology, Engineering, or Science

•     Technical Background

o   At least 2 years of professional experience with Python and Django (Using REST Framework)

o   Expertise in designing scalable and high-performance applications by developing and implementing a codebase that is modular, reusable, and easily maintainable

o   Excellent knowledge and understanding of Back End Development for Web Applications

o   Knowledge and understanding on how to use Cloud Services (e.g. Azure) in the Back End codebase

o   Basic understanding of Docker

o   Expertise on Git

·       Communication: 

o   Fluency in English. 

o   Ability to communicate technical matters and analytic approaches in a clear, precise, and actionable manner, and this to a range of stakeholders, from team members to business stakeholders. 

·       Personal Attributes: 

o   Proactive and responsible, always anticipating the next steps. 

o   You are a strong team player and show enthusiasm for supporting the development of others, but you can also easily work independently. 

o   You have an analytical mindset and are able to analyze complex problems and design comprehensive solutions. 

o   You are eager to learn and able to stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies 

Our Ideal candidate would also have:

•     Knowledge on Azure Functions Development

•     Experience of writing developer tests (unit, integration, e2e)

•     Knowledge on build and release pipelines using Azure DevOps

•     Knowledge of Database Design Principles using Relational and non-relational Databases

•     Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. 

•     Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and other AI technologies.

•     Willing to travel for short term time periods
